Newborn | Laura + Patrick + Auden

I had a small world experience with this photoshoot. I previously worked with Laura in a department at McMaster University. Laura’s husband, Patrick, knows my partner through their work with the City of Hamilton. Through this shoot I was able to meet Patrick, so that was cool!

One of my favourite parts (there are many) of a family shoot is learning the backstory of the baby’s name and how it was selected. Auden means “old friend.” Beautiful, right? 

Laura and Patrick’s house is cozy and there are plants growing just about everywhere there is sunlight. Family shoots are made all the more fun when a pet is involved. Howie the dog managed to work his way into many of the shots, or at the very least be as close to the action as possible. I sense a deep bond between these two as Auden gets older.
